Hawke's Bay is paradise for food lovers. The fertile plains, high country pasture, bountiful ocean and verdant river valleys produce a diverse and fascinating array of foods.
This package offers a hands-on experience, incorporating a range of elements to delight those with an interest in food. There are many opportunities for tasting - both at the source and at the table.
A myriad of epicurean pleasures will be uncovered. You'll discover the best and freshest ingredients, visit food producers and participate in a culinary class. You'll meet Hawke's Bay food artisans and experience their passion. Along the way, you will be able to see, touch, smell and taste the many 'local only' food products.
The day begins after a leisurely gourmet breakfast at Greenhill. You will be out and about for around five hours, incorporating a delicious barbecue lunch at Waimarama Beach or a picnic in the Tuki Tuki Valley.
Mid-afternoon you'll return to Greenhill to relax before meeting the chef to discuss your days discoveries. Then it's time to enjoy a glass of wine as you help to prepare a selection from the evening's menu.
