A personal encounter with the wines and winemakers of Hawke's Bay.
Hawke's Bay is recognised world wide for the quality of its wines. A diversity of climate and soil type enables sub-regions and individual vineyards to produce high quality examples of a range of grape varieties.
Red wines display a unique combination of new world fruit flavours and old world structure. The whites are complex wines with distinctive flavours and aromas.
This package takes you far beyond the normal winery cellar door visit. Personally hosted by Greenhill's specialist Hawke's Bay wine guide, this is a 'grape to glass' journey through the winemaking process.
Leaving from Greenhill, you'll tour up to three wineries, including one in the distinctive Gimblett Gravels terroir. With a duration of around five hours, this is the perfect afternoon excursion but can, of course, be arranged to suit.
Along the way, you will meet the personalities behind some of the regions award-winning wines, walk amongst their vines and hear their stories as you sample from barrel and bottle.
Your experience is completed at back at Greenhill with a private tasting of rare, award-winning Hawke's Bay wines.
